Summit School provides services to students, ranging in age from 4 to 21, with developmental disabilities that result in cognitive, social and/or behavioural impairments. One of these services is introducing students to the work force. Chef On Call was lucky enough to become apart of this program in 2016. A couple times a week we have training sessions, focused around how to operate a small business. From cooking, to tracking inventory, to helping with our marketing events, it’s been so much fun seeing firsthand how much this program helps both the students confidence and discipline. Our first student, is now a part time employee who has become apart of the Chef Team. If you would like some more information on how to get involved with this program feel free to reach out to us. We would be happy to share our experience with you.
